Join one of Australia’s hottest curators and guest Provocateur for Proximity Festival 2017, Jeff Khan for a cocktail and intimate discussion on curating art in unusual locations across Australia and the Asia Pacific. Jeff is the current Artistic Director of Sydney’s Performance Space and former Artistic Director of Melbourne’s Next Wave Festival. Originally from Perth, he has worked with some of the most exciting national and international artists on experimental, dance, queer, interdisciplinary and site-specific projects. Suitable for curators, artists, producers and art managers.

Guerrilla Botanics

Pack your gardening gloves and join artist, activist, gardener, and beekeeper Mike Bianco for a covert night-time incursion into the city inviting you to fertilize botanical inhabitants with acts of care.

Originally from San Francisco and now currently based in WA, Mike Bianco’s work engages a number of forms and materials – both living and non-living, and focuses on issues of politics, environment, sustainability, community activism, energy decline, and the impending “century of crisis.”
