Here it is folks! We couldn’t be more excited to announce the 2015 Proximity Festival program and hit go on ticket sales.
Bringing together artists from across Australia and the United Kingdom, Proximity Festival holds fast to one very simple rule – performances are for one audience member and one performer at a time.
Go on a date as your online self with Jackson Eaton, stargaze in daylight with Emily Parsons-Lord, surrender yourself to a transformative abduction with Phillip Adams, connect with a forgotten landscape using water as your instrument with Mei Saraswati, and indulge in the humour of a family sex drama with Mish Grigor.
Audiences can choose to experience a single curated program of four performances or multiple programs across the Festival. This year ticket-holders can also visit Day Spa in the WA Focus space where the Proximity prepper will guide audiences into relaxation prior to performances.
Spend some time navigating our expanded twelve day program of one-on-one performances, free public talks, collective actions and intimate gallery tours, late night Opening Celebration PARTY FOR 1, and three day intensive master class led by Helen Cole (UK) for artists, curators, producers and festival directors.
We’ve built this Festival from the ground up with one important person in mind – you.
Tickets for Proximity Festival are available through Eventopia, 9am WST Tuesday 25 August. Marathons are capped at 16 only across the season.
